Carols in Your Backyard is Free to Stream.

Are you interested in running a local carols outreach without the cost and complexity of professional musicians and staging? Then gather together your Church, neighbours, nursing home, sports group, school, playgroup or family around our free and professionally produced carols.

Any church or community can stream Carols in Your Backyard where ever you can set up a screen & speakers: in a park, church hall, car park, lounge room, dining hall, backyard or street. You may decide to host a Christmas gathering of between 50 and 200 people and play the carols on a large screen or share the link so smaller gatherings can play the carols on TVs and in backyards.

FAQ

Q. How does this work?
A. Imagine you are gathering people to watch a footy grand final. People mingle, eat and connect. When you play the carols people can either sit, watch and sing along or continue to chat with the carols in the background. You will need a screen and speakers for your gathering and the link to the YouTube video.

Q. How do I access the Carols?
A. You need to register to get access to the pre-recorded carols. You will be sent the YouTube link and can play the carols as often as you like in December. Email Gymea Baptist Church to register or express an interest.

Q. Would this suit a rural community?
A. Yes! The Carols are unbranded. Some of the sponsors may be located in Sydney, but the event is designed to support any community no matter where in Australia they are.

Q. Will there be a Christmas message?
A. There will be a minutes-long message on the theme of this year’s carols: Unboxing Christmas.  The brief message will encourage people to explore the meaning of Christmas with the people they are sitting with. You may like to have something ready to hand out – an invitation to another event or perhaps a copy of the Christmas story.

Q. Will this be available next year?
A. We have committed to producing a new (and free) pre-recorded carols each year so you can add Carols in Your Backyard to your yearly planner. This year’s production will be available to stream for the month of December.
